I received my Masters degree in Acupuncture from the Maryland University of Integrative Health. I decided to pursue acupuncture training after 15 years working as a Massage Therapist. I have always been interested in the function and capacity of human body and I have been exploring it all my life. I have been a dancer since I was a child. I have studied Iyengar yoga for the last twenty years, and I taught anatomy and physiology for five years to massage school students. All of these experiences inform the work that I do in the treatment room and help me to help my patients.
In my practice I work with men and women on many common complaints: neck, back, shoulder, knee and other musculo-skeletal issues, digestive problems like heartburn and constipation, women’s’ health concerns like PMS, menopause and infertility and much more. I have also recently trained in Scalp Acupuncture, which I am currently using to help patients with rehabilitation from stroke. It is also useful for treating many neurological disorders like concussion, traumatic brain injury, phantom limb pain and paralysis.
To each session I bring an extensive knowledge of Chinese Medicine and a boundless curiosity about what makes each patient unique. If you have any questions just give me a call at 207-776-9673. I also do a free introductory consultation either in person or over the phone. I look forward to talking with you!
